Genevieve Howell, is a professionally trained actress and writer. Raised in the Oregon countryside, she was a competitive equestrian, downhill skier and dancer. She has lived in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. One of her first entryways into film was Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant,” before heading off to Los Angeles at the age of 18, to study with Sanford Meisner’s protégé, Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West Repertory Theater. There she began to hone her craft. Additionally, she studied comedy and improv at UCB Theater and graduated from a rigorous two year program at The Meisner Technique Studio. Her writing spans film and television, along with her short film, Siskin, and was winner of the Moth Storytelling competition in 2012. She most recently performed in, A Piece of My Heart and In Their Footsteps in New York, before relocating back to Los Angeles in 2020.
